a dinner worth 1,145,000

This was our dinner tonight at Nhà Hàng Thiên Anh in Halong City:

Seven dishes - all seafood.  The fish, octopus, shrimp, and clams were all alive when we arrived at the restaurant.  At the entrance, tubs and tanks of live seafood were on display; five minutes later, after pointing here and there (god bless these animals), the fate of these self-sacrificing animals were sealed.

A few more minutes later, dish after dish of freshly flavorful and mouth-watering food arrived and were quickly devoured.  When was the last time you ordered seafood noodles and got more seafood than noodles?

At the end of this marine, gastronomic experience arrived the bill, which, of course, was written in foreign Vietnamese.  We didn't understand anything on it except for 1,145,000.

Translation:  1,145,000 Vietnamese Dongs equals $55 US Dollars.
